SAHA Studio Open
Invited by the advisory/selection committee comprising Çelenk Bafra, Hera Büyüktaşçıyan, and Vasıf Kortun, to date SAHA Studio hosted nine artists from different cities of Turkey and two visiting researchers/curators from the UK and Mexico in its first year. The previous SAHA Studio Open was held in February 2020 with a group exhibition and public program. SAHA provides the invited artists with a studio and co-working space in Istanbul that they can use for minimum six months in addition to artist fee and production grant. The invited artists and curators benefit from an array of opportunities for exchange, including research trips, exhibition and studio visits, peer to peer dialogue and visits from leading art professionals. SAHA Studio’s second term ends following this online open studio and SAHA will greet the artists, writers, and curators that will partake in the SAHA Studio program as of 2021.
