Interested in biological phenomena such as speciation, differentiation and resemblance, the artist often uses animal-like toys to depict the phenomena of birth, death and life. Reminiscent of a laboratory environment, these images feature pastel-colored toy animals / sculptures deformed in different materials and geometric objects reminiscent of styrofoam and plaster. The title of the work refers to the mascots popular in detergent advertisements. The detergents dispersing and the powders forming clusters stand out in the details of the work. The chemical foundations of life and the existence of the body composed entirely of chemicals present a narrative that contradicts the meanings attributed to vitality and the distinction between natural and artificial.
